Biography

Dr. Tiffany Tremont is the President and CEO of Silotech Group, Inc. (Silotech), founded in 2008 and ranked seven times consecutively on the Inc. 5000 (2015-2021). Dr. Tremont’s experience in the IT industry spans over two decades of Infrastructure Management and Systems/Security Administration expertise in both the federal and industry sectors, which began when she joined the National Security Agency (NSA) and then enlisted in the United States Air Force at 17.

Dr. Tremont’s federal experience encompasses serving the military and subsequent employment with various federal agencies. During her Air Force service, her deployment duties included Operation Desert Focus after the 1996 bombing of Khobar Towers, when she earned the Air Force Commendation Medal. After leaving the Air Force, she entered the Peace Corps Federal Service.

Silotech is an 8m firm, and some of our most recent 8m awards have enabled us to double our staff size annually since inception. Silotech’s Professional Services encompass Cybersecurity and Mission Systems, Digital Transformation and Modernization, Emerging Technologies and R&D, and Managed IT/Security Services. Under Dr. Tremont’s leadership, Silotech has received many certifications, including ISO 27001, ISO 20000-1, CMMI Dev Level 3, ISO 9001:2015, SBA (8a) Stars III, Certified Veteran Enterprise (CVE), GSA Schedule 70, Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Woman-Owned, Minority Business Enterprise, State of Texas HUB, and South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (SCTRCA).

Silotech’s success in a traditionally male-dominated field is largely due to her military and professional experiences in diverse assignments and projects in military intelligence and Cyber/IT—those experiences instilled in her discipline, success orientation, inception-execution, and end-use quality. Dr. Tremont is an EC-Council Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), and Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA).

Dr. Tremont holds a Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University, a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management and Policy, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), formerly University of Maryland University College (UMUC). Dr. Tremont is an appointed member of the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) Alumni Advisory Board (2019-2023). Additionally, Dr. Tiffany Tremont serves in an advisory position on the UMGC Industry Advisory Board (IAB) which supports the institution's National Security Agency (NSA) Center for Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (CAE-C) and the Center for Security Studies (CSS) or the UMGC cybersecurity programs, which works with the government to shape the cybersecurity education and training needs of the nation. Dr. Tremont's expertise and experience inform cybersecurity curriculum, workforce development, and emerging trends, enabling UMGC to retain its NSA CAE-C designation. Recognized by Governor Greg Abbott in the 2017 State of the State address for being an elite Woman Veteran entrepreneur in advanced cyber and enterprise IT, Dr. Tremont was awarded the Inaugural Texas Governor's Business Forum for Women Award for her Excellence in Veteran Engagement. Governor Abbott appointed Regent Tremont to the Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Board of Regents in 2018 to serve a six-year term as a regent. Dr. Tremont is Chairwoman of the TSTC Board of Regents.

Dr. Tiffany Tremont was honored by the SABJ as one of the select 2019 Veterans in Business award recipients. She is the 2015 recipient of the San Antonio Business Journal’s C-Suite CEO Award for Small/Medium Business, and the winner of the 2015 San Antonio Business Journal’s Tech Titan Award for Cyber Security. Her company was bestowed the Best Places to Work award by the San Antonio Express News in 2022 and by the SABJ from 2015 to 2020. Dr. Tremont is dually recognized as the 2014 Women’s Leadership Award winner by the San Antonio Business Journal for Business Leader of the Year and the recipient of the Entrepreneurial Leadership Award. In 2017, 2016, and 2015, she received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement – Call to Service Award for her volunteerism. Dr. Tiffany Tremont is the former Vice President of the Alamo Young AFCEANs Program and was awarded the prestigious AFCEA International Women in AFCEA Appreciation Award in 2016. Dr. Tremont is the former President of NAFE San Antonio, the San Antonio affiliate of the National Association for Female Executives, serving in that role for four years. In addition, Dr. Tremont graduated in 2013 from the San Antonio Business Opportunity Academy. Dr. Tiffany Tremont's strategic vision has steered Silotech to being honored as a top Inc. 5000 company in the U.S. and top 100 Veteran companies in Texas in 2019.
