Essential Role and Responsibilities

The Java Developer is responsible for participating in the full agile application development life cycle for new development design, construction and testing of Java applications, Web Services (SOAP and REST), and reusable components to support overall project.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience as a Java Developer
  • Experience containerization of Springboot microservices
  • Experience/Knowledge in EFK, Kakfa, AWS Cloud, JBPM.
  • Experience working with docker containers
  • Experience with ODM (for Rules team)
  • Spring framework concepts, Spring boot experience
  • REST, SOAP web services experience
  • Authentication mechanisms (SAML, OAuth) experience
  • multi-threading (concurrency) experience
  • JMS, Schedulers, workflow engines, redHat Process Automation Manager, RPA (blueprism) experience
  • Git, maven, CI/CD, Red Hat experience
  • hibernate, Oracle and Postgres database experience
  • Jmeter, unit, functional testing experience
  • Agile development experience

  • Communication skills - able to communicate in a clear, articulate, and professional manner on a daily basis via written and oral communications with customer contracting representatives, Silotech employees, and subcontract/teaming partner contracting organizations.
  • Interpersonal and Customer Relations skills - able to maintain a professional and courteous attitude with employees and third-party individuals at all times to resolve conflicts and address any issues within the contractual structure and regulations.

  • Time Management skills - able to use time effectively in a semi-supervised fashion, pursuing other activities when regular duties have reduced in volume; able to complete projects in a timely manner. Will work with occasional supervision over repetitive tasks. New duties or project type tasks may receive strict or direct supervision, depending upon the nature of the task(s).
